Artist's book consisting of text and images. In his novel "Leviathan" Paul Auster uses a number of episodes from Calle's life to create a character named Maria. Calle makes a project based on this character, living life according to the author's rules for the character. "Gotham handbook" is another project based on instructions from Auster. - Tipped into the item is a sheet bearing information that usually appears on the back of the title page and the text of the Auster novel that includes the character Maria.
